This was after trying multiple ways including using old version of software on my MacBook.
I downloaded the file from my orders section of amazon and it converted just fine.
For the Alf plugin I customized it and chose the first option for kindle readers and put in my kindle serial number. I used the current version of Calibre, installed the Apprentice Alf plugin and added KFX input plugin. Now transfer those new files into Calibre and, for me at least, the DRM was removed. Now when you open Kindle PC it will not see any of your books, so you will need to download them into this new folder. Thanks.What I then found I needed to do was change the name of the folder that has your kindle books in and create a new one of the original name. (Have KFX output 1.65 \ DeDRM 10.03 \ Obok DeDRM 10.03 already installed in Calibre). Or is there a KFX removal program available that does not require an Amazon Kindle Series Number like KFX-begon4 did not require one? (All other programs I have located so far require an Amazon Kindle Series Number/E-reader) Can anyone direct me where I might be able to locate this Kindle Series Number on my PC? I have looked to locate an Amazon Kindle Series Number for the PC with no success. As previously stated used KFX-begone4 to open my Kindle App for PC to add the ebook to Calibe for EPUB conversion previously the ebook would arrive in the AZW3 or MOBI format now only arrives in the KFX-ZIP format and cannot convert due to DRM lock. I have never had an Amazon Kindle Series Number since I have always use my Kindle App for PC and not a physical Kindle device. Looking online for the latest information to remove Amazon Kindle Ebook DRM for 2023 - I have noticed that an Amazon Kindle Series Number is required for Calibre. Is this because of the new amazon version upgrade? Using Kindle App for PC and had to upgrade to Kindle v 1.39 to download new books and now KFX-begon4 is no longer able to remove KFX-ZIP for calibre conversion.
